Live-in Caregiver Program
When speaking of a long-term in-home senior care, there is no better and more affordable option than the Federal Government’s In-Home Caregiver Program. Established by our government to address the shortage of local caregivers available to provide care on a live-in basis, this program allows the family to hire an overseas caregiver to help with the domestic and personal care needs — anything that the clients will require to remain comfortable in their own homes:
- Meal Preparation
- Personal Care
- Incontinence Care
- Mobility Assistance
- Medication Reminders
- General Supervision
- Dementia Care
- Overnight PEACE OF MIND
The cost for an in-home caregiver is based on the median wage for a home support worker in your area. Please check the link provided to see the average wage in your area. A good estimate for cost would be between $3000 and $4000 each month. Please keep in mind that it does take 4 to 6 months to set up this program, so it does require some foresight! If you need more immediate live-in care while awaiting the arrival of the permanent caregiver, we can provide you with a bridge live-in caregiver as well.
The caregiver stays in a separate bedroom in the house and is there to assist with all the Activities of Daily Living and to respond and assist overnight, if necessary.
