All of the caregivers that we place into homes across Canada have either completed a minimum six-month caregiver skills training course, or have actual nursing or live-in care work experience, either abroad or in Canada.
We focus on recruiting caregivers that can step into a job in Canada and be able to perform the duties immediately, with very little adjustment period, because that is the reality of most live-in situations: there is very little time for on-the-job training.
We have a pool of caregivers that have been working in live-in care jobs for as long as three or four years in Israel, Taiwan and Hong Kong, performing such duties as:
- personal care
- medication reminders
- housekeeping, cleaning, laundry
- meal preparation
- companionship
- assist with bathing
- assist with lift and transfer
- alzheimer's and dementia care
