• How much does a live-in caregiver cost?
  Our live-in caregivers work for at least provincial standard minimum wage, based on a forty-hour work week. The caregiver also pays the employer $325/month for room and board. The cost to the employer is approximately $1200/month (in BC), all said and done. When compared to the costs of home care visits or day care services, employing a live-in caregiver just makes sense.
• How long does it take to hire a caregiver from overseas?
  After an employment contract is in place and is approved by Human Resources Development Canada, it takes approximately 2-3 months for the work authorization process to be completed to allow the caregiver to come to Canada.
